FieldPulse offers a simple method of tracking the lifecycle of a customer as they move through the different stages from 'lead,' 'opportunity,' 'current customer,' 'lost customer,' or 'other.' A single field on the customer profile called 'Account Status' indicates the current state of the customer. All customers default to 'Current Customers' for users that don't need to track leads and opportunities but only existing customers.
'Lead' would indicate a potential customer that has shown some interest in your services. If you've received an inquiry or call from a potential customer, they would at least fall into the category of a lead.
'Opportunity' would indicate a potential customer that you believe has a good chance of purchasing your service. This customer would be a step beyond a lead in the buyer journey and may be close to a sale.
'Current Customer' would indicate someone who has purchased your services. When creating a new customer profile, all customers default to 'Current Customers' for users that don't need to track the sales lifecycle of the customer.
'Lost' would indicate someone who has gone through the sales process with you as a lead or opportunity but did not purchase your services. Tracking and retaining lost customers could be used to re-market to in the future.
'Other' is an option for an account that doesn't fit into the categories and for you to denote as you wish. Some users choose to also store partners and vendors in their FieldPulse CRM, which could fall under 'Other.'
Account Status on the Customer Profile
On the customer profile form, 'Account Status' can be set at the top of the form.
Viewing Your Customer Lists By Account Status
On the 'Customers' page, you can segment your lists by account status. For example, if you want to see all customers that are in the 'Opportunity' stage to see new potential deals, open the 'Customers' page, click the 'By Status' tab, and then select the 'Opportunities' secondary tab. This will display all customers that have are marked in the 'Opportunity' account status.
